Hydraulic Engineer

STV has an immediate need in either our Charlotte, NC or Morrisville, NC offices for a Civil Engineer in our Transportation & Infrastructure Division. The successful candidate will: - Prepare Storm Water Management Plans and Reports for roadway, transit, rail, and culvert/bridge projects.
- Perform hydrologic & hydraulic studies
- Coordinate permitting through various water management agencies
- Participate in project development meetings with clients
- Coordinate design development and assist with technical direction of junior staff
- Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
- Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers
- Mentoring supporting water resource design staff
- Experience with green stormwater, and erosion and sediment control techniques is a plus
Responsibilities include: - Using hydrologic and hydraulic software such as Geopak Drainage, StormCAD, and HEC-RAS modeling
- Using CADD and mapping software including MicroStation, AutoCAD, and ESRI ArcGIS
- Strong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction
- Candidate should possess knowledge and experience of NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and Local government design and permitting requirements
Required Skills: - The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Engineering and (Civil, Biological, Agricultural, or another related discipline)
- A minimum of 8 years of experience of Water Resources and Storm Water Design Engineering - design of storm drains, culverts, storm water management, BMPs, , hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and Floodplain studies, and cost estimating
- NC PE license is required
Compensation Range: $99,966.00 - $133,287.00 Don't meet every single requirement?
