Industrial Quality Assurance & Metrology Coordinator
Industrial Quality Assurance & Metrology Coordinator
It’s what’s inside that counts — and you’ll make sure it measures up.
A day in your steel-toed shoes
Sun up, systems on. You start by reviewing work orders and drawings, then make the rounds: checking workstations, validating product identification and traceability (including shipping photos), and running final inspections on outgoing orders. Between audits, you update QMS documentation, complete internal and external inspections, and log reports, set‑ups, and filing. Your toolkit includes micrometers, vernier/calipers, and tape measures as you calculate dimensions and tolerances across feet, inches, decimals, and metric units. Before lunch, you spot-check gage calibration; by afternoon, you’re completing monthly audits of Work Instructions and coaching teammates on quality procedures. You wrap with a scan of the floor—orderly, accurate, ready to ship.
