To read more about what our tech team does, be sure to visit our tech blog at ally.tech We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Sr. Engineer to join a dynamic team of engineers responsible for the technical delivery of an internal platform, central to automating and optimizing Ally's technology operating model. The individual will be responsible for building and maintaining robust web applications using React.js and Node.js to ensure seamless user experiences and efficient backend processes. This role will require a software engineering professional with strong technical expertise in full stack development to partner with DevOps, Security Engineering, Security Operations, and business leaders. Additionally, this role will be responsible for supporting the Tech Lead/App Manager in coordinating with and mentoring Engineers providing oversight of code, design, and team responsibilities. Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants. **The Work Itself** * Collaborates with other developers and provides significant contributions to develop and address business needs. * Design, develop, and maintain web applications using React.js for the frontend and Node.js for the backend. * Implement and manage APIs to facilitate communication between frontend and backend systems. * Develop and fine-tune application features to enhance user experience and performance. * Optimize application workflows and processes for efficiency and scalability. * Integrate third-party services and tools with existing applications. * Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across various data sources. * Analyze application data and user interactions to identify trends, anomalies, and potential improvements. * Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and Technology teams to implement new features and enhancements. * Work with a collaborative, dynamic team of engineers to solve problems. * Create documentation for application processes, development protocols, and system configurations. * Stay updated on the latest development trends, tools, and technologies to enhance application capabilities. * Interacts directly with senior leadership and business clients. * Serves as a mentor to lower level developers. **The Skills You Bring** Required Qualifications: * 3+ years of experience in full stack development, with a focus on React.js and Node.js. * 1+ years of experience with API development and integration. * Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or Computer Information Sciences, or 3+ years of relevant experience. * Proficient in scripting technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and APIs * Hands-on experience in automation platforms, including writing scripts and troubleshooting. * Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to integrate multiple tools and APIs. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders. * Ability to respond directly to questions from business clients and senior leaders. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Experience writing and reviewing software design specifications in an object oriented development environment. * Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each project. * Experience working on a dynamic agile based team in a collaborative work environment. * Ability to be a technical authority and work with other team members. * Knowledge of standard change management tools and processes Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.). * Expertise in cloud-native technologies and implementation patterns to drive innovation and efficiency. * Experience with programmatically integrating with Generative AI and/or Machine Learning capabilities. * Experience with Test Automation tools (Cypress, Jest, etc.). * Familiar with enterprise change management. * Experience with work management tools such as Jira and ServiceNow. **How We'll Have Your Back** * Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
