Oncology RN Job Details

• Location: Greenville, North Carolina 27834
• Healthcare Setting: Cancer Center Surgical Oncology (32-bed flex unit)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (option to extend to 26 weeks)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $1960 per week
• RN-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling; 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 7, 2025

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact RN licenses accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in a clinical or oncology setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and monitoring
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Must reside outside an 80-mile radius from the Greenville facility
• Ability to float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed
• All requested time off must be approved prior to assignment confirmation

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to oncology and surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Provide clinical support to patients from multiple specialties, including ENT, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Participate in self-scheduling and fulfill assigned holiday and weekend shifts
• Float to other clinical units as required to support patient care needs
