Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing key accounting operations, and supporting the organization's financial goals. Responsibilities: - Oversee and execute month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. - Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded. - Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. - Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies. - Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure proper documentation for all transactions. - Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation for audits. - Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends and recommend process improvements. - Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities. - Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies. - Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced accounting staff, as needed. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field. - Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and preparing financial reports. - Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation. - Experience with account and bank reconciliations. - Familiarity with accounting principles and financial regulations. - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and organizational abilities. - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
