Job Brief: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues and generating weekly ageing reports in a timely manner. Our ideal candidate is familiar with all accounting procedures and can manage daily financial transactions end-to-end and complete other office duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
• Carry out credit checks and resolve account discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers to set up payment plans and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve billing disputes.
• Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
• Prepare reports on accounts receivable status and generate weekly aging reports.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role.
• Familiarity with accounting software and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
