The Nurse Coordinator Cardiovascular Intermediate Care leads and supervises day-to-day clinical operations on a cardiovascular surgical step-down unit, optimizing patient flow, acuity-based staffing, and interdisciplinary collaboration with cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, electrophysiology, case management, rehab, and pharmacy to deliver safe, high-quality care. Daily responsibilities include supervising and mentoring bedside nurses, monitoring telemetry and hemodynamics, recognizing and responding to arrhythmias, coordinating admissions, transfers, and discharges, rounding with providers to update care plans, titrating cardiac medications and IV drips per protocol, ensuring accurate EHR documentation, educating patients and families, leading safety huddles and reinforcing evidence-based pathways, tracking quality metrics, assisting with scheduling and staff onboarding, and ensures policy compliance and continuous performance improvement. This is a full-time Night shift position.

What's Needed to Succeed:

• Degree from an accredited Nursing program
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse RN in the state of North Carolina or ability to obtain upon hire
• Proven clinical leadership experience in a cardiovascular, intermediate care, or medical surgical setting
