This assignment in a high-acuity Emergency Department allows you to contribute to a hospital recognized for both clinical excellence and safety, including national awards and a coveted Magnet Designation for nursing. Here, you’ll join skilled teams at the forefront of Level II trauma care, stroke treatment, and comprehensive pediatric emergency services, offering you invaluable exposure to diverse workplace practices and advanced medical technology—an ideal way to expand your resume and develop your leadership skills.
Schedule:
- Every other weekend required
- Flexible to meet department needs
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum two years of nursing experience, including at least one year in a fast-paced ER
- Experience in Level 2 trauma centers with >100,000 annual ED visits preferred
- Certifications (required by start): ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS; ENPC within 90 days
- Strong teamwork mentality, adaptability, and real-time feedback skills
- Willingness to float to all areas within the Emergency Department
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a 101-bed ER
- Maintain patient ratios typical of a busy trauma center (4:1 on medical, up to 7:1 on behavioral holds)
- Use advanced technology including Baxter pumps and GE monitors; document via Cerner
- Uphold patient experience standards including AIDET communications and respectful behavior
