Job Title : Full-Time Gastroenterologist (BC/BE)
Location : Franklin, North Carolina
Schedule : 34 procedure days / week + flexible clinic hours (Monday Friday)
Call : Optional elective call at regional hospital
Job Type : Full-time, partnership-track if desired
Core Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper & lower GI endoscopy (EGD, colonoscopy; ERCP welcomed - performed at hospital).
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of GI and hepatobiliary disorders in clinic and ASC settings.
- Prescribe medications, biologics, and evidence-based treatment regimens; document in gGastro.
- Direct the patient-care activities of GI nurses, techs, and support staff; uphold AAAHC, CMS, and GIQuIC quality metrics.
- Collaborate with NPs on quality-improvement projects and community colon-cancer-screening outreach.
- Teach and mentor students and new providers; medical-director track available before or by Year 3 if desired.
Requirements
- MD / DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
- North Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain) and active DEA registration.
- BLS and ACLS for moderate sedation (course reimbursed if needed).
- Proficiency in core GI procedures; advanced endoscopy skills a plus.
- Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care and continuous quality improvement.
