Are you a seasoned construction leader ready to elevate your career with a rapidly growing concrete construction company? We're looking for a dynamic Area Lead to oversee operations, lead high-performing teams, and ensure the successful delivery of large-scale concrete projects.
As an Area Lead , you will be responsible for overseeing all business operations within a specific geographical area, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also manage relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders, and work closely with our leadership team to ensure strategic objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Team Development: Collaborate with the Regional Director and Executive Leadership to develop and execute area-specific strategic plans, fostering team growth and organizational success.
- Quality, Safety, and Growth: Drive the achievement of company-wide objectives related to quality, safety, and growth. Ensure adherence to safety policies and legal regulations across all projects.
- Project Management: Oversee and assign projects, ensuring timely, on-budget completion while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
- Customer & Vendor Relations: Resolve high-level customer issues, including contract negotiations, safety incidents, and funding concerns. Maintain and grow relationships with current and potential clients and business partners.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement operational initiatives to optimize efficiency and team performance, aligning with company-wide procedures and policies.
- Business Development: Partner with estimating and business development teams to achieve sales goals and ensure continued market growth in the area.
- Training & Development: Organize and support training programs for team members, ensuring opportunities for career advancement and skill development.
- Team Leadership: Conduct evaluations and annual reviews for team members. Support recruitment efforts to fill key positions within the area.
- Budget & Financial Oversight: Assist the Regional Director and Executive Leadership in preparing and managing the areas budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Construction Expertise: Strong knowledge of concrete construction principles, with significant experience managing projects valued at over $10 million.
- Leadership Ability: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coach large teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, growth, and high performance.
- Client & Vendor Management: Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to represent the company at industry events and maintain strong ties with clients and vendors.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for evaluating complex construction cases and providing technical documentation and support as needed.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to align team members around company leadership principles and core values.
Education & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field, or 10-12 years of relevant experience and/or training.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 3 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in a construction or concrete-focused role.
