Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist
• Location: Fayetteville, NC (28304) – North Carolina healthcare jobs
• Facility: Acute Care Hospital, Level III Trauma Center
• Department: Respiratory Therapy
• Shift: Nights, 4x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/8/2025 – End: 12/8/2025)
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holidays required
• Floating: May float between like units within scope
• Guaranteed Hours: 2 call-offs per 13-week contract; all other hours guaranteed
• Scrub Color: Solid Black or Black and White
• Charting System: Epic
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,720 - $1,770

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent RRT experience in hospital or ICU settings
• Active North Carolina or compact Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Experience caring for adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Willingness to float between units as needed
• Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to qualify as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Maximum 4 days of requested time off (RTO); only 1 holiday approved
• Compliance with hospital background and license requirements

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in hospital and ICU settings
• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy for adults and children
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Epic
• Float between respiratory therapy units as required
• Participate in department meetings, orientation, and ongoing training
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
