As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and providing an exceptional presence at a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with staff and visitors to support a secure environment. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote compliance with site regulations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of all activity within the location.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
- Provide visible security-related presence and customer assistance to staff, visitors, and contractors within the government-operated location.
- Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, being prepared to respond to situations that may arise during patrols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess an active armed guard card or license.
- Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
