Job Description
As a Security Officer Experienced Armed Patrol in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading financial institution location as an armed patrol professional, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and approaches every security-related responsibility with teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the business, lobby areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials when required, and support visitor and/or employee screening procedures in accordance with location rules.
- Maintain readiness to perform armed post duties, handle security-related communications with site contacts and/or first responders, and follow all Allied Universal and location-specific requirements for assigned equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
