Summary

We are seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team at Northcross Eye Associates. This role is essential in supporting our optometrists by assisting with patient care, managing medical records, and ensuring a smooth clinic operation. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of care we provide to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists during eye examinations and procedures.
• Manage patient medical records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Conduct preliminary tests such as visual acuity and tonometry.
• Educate patients on proper contact lens care and eyewear options.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following aseptic techniques.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed during patient visits.
• Support retail sales by providing product knowledge and recommendations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in optometric technology is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to eye health.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred, especially in optometry or ophthalmology.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $15.74 - $17.00 per hour
