**Job Description Summary**
The Engineered Solutions Operations Leader will be a core leader within the product line. Specifically, this role will work closely with the broader planning and delivery teams in product management, project management, engineering and sourcing to drive the lean strategic roadmap and facilitate the continuous improvement initiatives to ensure success (e.g. KPIs/bowler charts, running the Obeya room). The ideal candidate has a passion for nuclear energy, experience implementing process improvements, and exceptional influencing and communication skills.
**Job Description**
The Operations Leader will serve as facilitator, educator, advocate, consultant and accountability partner to the Engineered Solutions business and all supporting functions to ensure the application of lean to vital cross-functional business processes. They will also be responsible for driving projects to create value through lean while coaching the leadership of those organizations.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Run the Obeya Room (aka Command Center or War Room) ... a dedicated physical or virtual space where project teams and leaders gather to collaborate, monitor progress, and make decisions
+ Drive real-time problem-solving rigor among cross-functional teams to assure successful product development and project fulfillment
+ Champion LEAN efforts, including Leader Standard Work for all supporting functions
+ Lead the Strategic Lean Roadmap and facilitate the kaizens, projects, actions to drive continuous improvements
+ Broaden the application of problem solving & continuous improvement tools & daily management in a way that will improve quality, efficiency, capacity and process reliability
+ Partner with the Nuclear Lean Leaders to facilitate the Hoshin Kanri & Transformational Action Planning processes across the product line to define & drive the necessary objectives and improvement actions aligned with the Nuclear strategy
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
+ 5+ years of experience leading teams with lean techniques in a matrixed environment with particular emphasis on transactional process versus manufacturing process.
+ 5+ years of experience leading large-scale programs/projects
+ 10+ years of industrial related experience
**Eligibility Requirements:**
+ The work location for this role is at the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) headquarters in Wilmington, NC. (Relocation assistance provided)

**Desired Characteristics:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
+ Master's Degree in Business Administration
+ Demonstrated experience with process improvement methodologies
+ Prior Nuclear industry experience
+ Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
+ Effective oral and written communication skills, including process documentation and communication.
+ Demonstrated skill for influencing without direct authority.
+ Strong financial acumen.
+ Experience with LEAN concepts and methodologies
+ Appropriate experience driving business transformation and/or lean adoption. The ideal candidate is a change agent that has led through tough situations and brings a will to win

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,700.00 and $149,500.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
