Registered Nurse Job Details
- Position Type: Locum Tenens RN (Travel Nursing Contract)
- Location: Brevard, NC 28712 – North Carolina healthcare jobs
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – 5W Medicine
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800–$1840
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Dress Code: Navy blue or white scrubs
- Active Registered Nurse license (North Carolina or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification (required)
- Medical telemetry experience in a clinical setting
- CMSRN certification (preferred for PCU nursing jobs)
- Strong teamwork, compassion, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Monitor patients using remote telemetry and advanced EMR (Cerner)
- Prepare patients for procedures including Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Operating Room (OR)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (RNs, CNAs, HUCs, sitters)
- Float to sister units (Med-Surg: 3W, 5W, K8) as needed
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold hospital policies
- Foster a positive, patient-centered environment in line with best practices for North Carolina nursing jobs
