Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services in an outpatient setting, comprising approximately 90% of the caseload, serving both adult and pediatric patients
• Treat a diverse outpatient caseload including orthopedic, neurological, and fine motor conditions across adult (approximately 70%) and pediatric (approximately 30%) populations
• Perform basic splinting for hand therapy patients as needed
• Provide acute care coverage for adult and geriatric patients when outpatient volume is low or when coverage is needed
• Participate in on-call rotation for acute stroke cases on holidays (acute care and morning shift only), with required arrival at facility within 30 minutes of receiving a call

Required Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of North Carolina
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in both adult and pediatric outpatient occupational therapy
• Ability to provide acute care coverage for adult and geriatric patients as needed
• Ability to respond to on-call requests and arrive at the facility within 30 minutes

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Basic splinting skills, particularly for hand therapy patients
• Background in acute care occupational therapy with adult and geriatric populations
• Experience with neurological and orthopedic outpatient caseloads
