Part-time Job Coach - Disability Services
Position Overview: OE Enterprises is a non-profit company with 50 years of experience serving individuals with disabilities in North Carolina. The Job Coach position will be responsible for helping people with disabilities to maintain competitive employment. This role involves supporting individuals currently employed to maintain their current jobs through assessment, on-the-job training, and monitoring to help them achieve independence and retain their position. The goal is to increase the number of individuals with disabilities placed in integrated employment within Orange, Alamance, Randolph, and surrounding counties while decreasing the number of individuals in segregated employment.
Pay: $15-$17/hr
Hours: Part Time; Shifts: Tuesday 330-8pm; Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7-12pmMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The Job Coaching position requires a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must have experience working with individuals with Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and able to work independently without direct on-site supervision. The role demands a candidate with exceptional patience, compassion, and the ability to communicate effectively, always ensuring professional interactions. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and dependable transportation is required. Certifications in CPR, first aid, and NCI+ are preferred but can be provided by the employer. Finally, candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate onsite job instruction tailored to individual needs and interests, promoting optimal job placement
Implement and monitor personalized goals and plans for each individual
Serve as a mediator between employers and employees to fulfill mutual requirements
Provide safe transportation for individuals, ensuring confidentiality and privacy
Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
Deliver ongoing support and guidance post-placement to ensure long-term success
Ensure timely and accurate billing submissions in accordance with weekly deadlines
Participate in professional development and training to stay informed on best practices
Strive to meet or exceed quarterly targets through effective job coaching strategies
Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Able sit and stand for long periods
Able to work in varying climate conditions, indoors, outdoors, in cold, or heat
Able to drive to various work sites as needed
