Warehouse Superintendent

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Warehouse Superintendent for JBS in Lenoir, NC.This position will oversee Shipping operations for the plant. Direct supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates. Train and develop supervisors to provide management depth and develop team work to attain department objectives. Review daily production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments. Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized. Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions

Responsibilities:

• Read and analyze work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
• Plan orders in system/track inventory
• Motivate and manage supervisors to ensure highest productivity from employees
• Interpret specifications, job orders, and company polices/procedures for workers
• Ensure process meets “good manufacturing procedures”, HACCP programs and quality specifications. Identify continuous improvement methods to help improve efficiency
• Review product specifications and processes. Ensure product conforms to specifications and food safety policies.
• Review formulations and maximizes yields and labor efficiencies within specifications.
• Study production schedules and estimate employee hour requirements. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, SOP’s, equipment performance, product quality and yields.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of production department.
• Evaluate needs and requirements for new products or processes. Help estimate cost of new products. Initiate and suggest plans to motivate employees to meet production goals.
• Analyze and resolve work related problems.
• Confer with supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Schedule production to ensure order fills accuracy and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in operations management or supply chain preferred
• Experience: 8-10 years’ experience in Shipping inventory
• 2-4 years’ experience managing people
• Computer skills
• Physical demands
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Base salary range of 85.000-95,0000
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
