Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to lead and manage all aspects of EHS across major projects. This senior leadership role will oversee safety strategy, compliance, and performance, while driving a culture of safety excellence.

Construction experience is absolutely vital for this position, given the scale and complexity of the projects you will support. The successful candidate will partner closely with project leadership, contractors, and clients to ensure best-in-class EHS standards are embedded at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the EHS program across multiple construction and facilities projects.

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and systems.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Act as a trusted advisor to project leaders, providing guidance on risk management and safety planning.

• Drive safety culture initiatives, ensuring alignment across project teams and subcontractors.

• Lead investigations into incidents, root causes, and corrective actions.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to EHS professionals across the organization.

• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to maintain confidence in EHS delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience, with a strong background in construction safety .

• Proven ability to manage EHS programs on large-scale or technically complex projects.

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant industry standards.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working within a global or client-focused environment is highly desirable.
