• Position Type: Locum Tenens MRI Technologist (Travel Contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital MRI Imaging Department
• Location: Burlington, NC 27215 (North Carolina MRI jobs)
• Shift: Night Shift, Monday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 7:30 AM (4x9-hour shifts)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/23/2025 – End: 12/23/2025)
• Hours per Week: 36
• No weekends or call required
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,110–$2,170

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• Valid ARMRIT or ARRT MR certification
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with PACS and Siemens MRI equipment
• Previous charge experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Experience in Adult Acute Care, Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, and ED Trauma required; Pediatric Acute Care preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Active North Carolina MRI technologist license at time of submission
• Willingness to float to other hospital campuses as needed

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI procedures: abdomen, pelvis, chest, brain, cranial nerves, face/neck, orbits, extremities, spine, and trauma imaging
• Prepare and administer contrast media; start peripheral IVs as needed
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques including Gradient Echo, Spin Echo, MIP, surface coils, T-1 and T-2 weighted images
• Maintain strict adherence to isolation precautions and safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory services
• Accurately document patient care and imaging results in EPIC
• Provide charge support and leadership during assigned shifts
