Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities. Troubleshoot electrical systems by reading and interpreting schematics. Fabricate components as needed to ensure operational efficiency. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from other departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, lighting, and panels; maintain HVAC equipment; oversee plumbing systems.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules; maintain compliance logs; identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of supplies.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs; monitor quality and safety compliance.
- Serve on on-call rotation to handle urgent after-hours maintenance issues such as power outages or leaks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- A strong commitment to safety practices within the workplace.

Work Environment
True Job Shop conditions with loud noise and non-climate controlled environment. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincolnton, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
