Driver Assistant

Biscuitville is a quick-service restaurant with over 80 locations in NC, SC, and VA. Driver Assistants will be responsible for loading, delivering, and unloading. This is a fast-paced position, assisting in the transportation of products to Biscuitville locations in a safe and timely manner. Location for the position is Burlington, NC.

• Assist with providing secure product delivery from our site to another business and/or directly to customers within allotted time period.
• Assist in loading/unloading delivery trucks
• Arrive punctually and consistently to work for normally scheduled hours.
• Routinely use dollies or hand trucks while loading or unloading the commercial vehicle.
• Select and repeatedly lift products weighing up to sixty (60) pounds from hand- stacked products and/or shrink wrapped pallets from three compartment trailer to deliver to stores/restaurants.
• Deliver products into customer’s stores/restaurant and stage according to product temperature requirements, all frozen products in the freezer; refrigerated products in the cooler and dry products in their designated areas.
• Maintain a piece count for drivers.
• Provide courteous, prompt and professional customer service to each location on route, and while operating vehicle.
• Responsible for vehicle safety and contents
• Responsible for vehicle security and keeping vehicle clean.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Education Required

• Drivers must have a valid driver’s license.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds frequently.
• Be willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to operate a hand truck up and down a delivery ramp.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
• This position must pass a post-offer background check.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Food distribution/delivery experience.
