Reports to: Director of Facilities Maintenance

Status: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers.

Mountaintop’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Position Summary: It is the responsibility of the Carpenter to perform predictive maintenance and reactive repairs, including repairing broken or damaged assets, building custom pieces for special events, tables, and fixtures/ furniture as requested. In addition, this position will assist the facility maintenance department with other maintenance technician duties which include, but not limited to, maintaining the function and cleanliness of all of Mountaintop’s facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair work on all furniture, cabinetry, rooms, public areas, and offices.
• Assists members with jobs as directed by management.
• Responsible for completion of jobs assigned by Director or Management
• Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install permanent structures, doors, cornices, counters, etc., safely set up and operate various types of woodworking machines in conjunction with work assignments, work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finished specifications, lay out jobs and compute angular and linear dimensions as required.
• Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention, able to wear/use personal protective equipment.
• Perform Maintenance Technician duties as requested by management.
• Perform custodial duties such as snow removal, pressure washing, trash removal, etc..... as required.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of experience in a similar environment
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Background Check

Physical Requirements:

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
• Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous repetitive motions.
• Work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
