Technical Writer
Job Summary
Schneider Electric is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Writer (US, UK, France).
What will you do?
As a key contributor on our energy & sustainability software team, you will be responsible for the following:
Technical Writing
- Write, edit, maintain FAQs, and help guides.
- Collaborate with product managers to capture tacit knowledge and translate it into structured content.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with product releases.
Collaboration & Enablement
- Work closely with the Knowledge Base team to refine strategic direction to meet the needs of internal and external users.
- Help define documentation standards, taxonomy, and governance processes.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to document new features.
- Promote knowledge sharing across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sustainability Experts.
- Support Customer Success and Support teams with self‑service content.
- Train internal teams on knowledge‑management best practices and tools.
Tooling & Systems
- Regular use of and maintenance of knowledge‑base platform (e.g., Zendesk Guide) and content within.
- Track and report on documentation usage, gaps, and effectiveness.
- Make use of internal resources, including AI tools, to continuously improve process efficiency.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing, knowledge management, or content strategy in a SaaS or tech environment.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a knack for simplifying complex topics.
- Experience with documentation tools and knowledge‑base platforms.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with sustainability topics (e.g., ESG, carbon accounting) is a strong plus.
- Bonus experience with structured content (e.g., DITA), localization, or training content.

Compensation & Benefits (U.S.)
Expected compensation range is $120,000 – $125,000 per year, including base pay and short‑term incentive. The range applies to candidates located within the United States. Salary is determined by performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The comprehensive benefits package includes medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks, flexible work arrangements, paid family leave, 401(k) + match, well‑being and recognition programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro‑rated in the first year of employment), stock purchase opportunity, military leave benefits, and more.
