Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for recording bank and credit card transactions accurately and timely for multiple clients across various industries. The Accounting Assistant can communicate directly with clients. The Accounting Assistant works closely with other team members on all assigned accounts. Essential Functions/Responsibilities * Complete daily entry of financial transactions for the organization that allow for proper reporting of assets, liabilities, owner’s equity, and organizational profit. Includes entry of bank and credit card transactions, as well as customer payments and vendor bills. * Complete daily review of relevant financial reports and completion of reconciliations to ensure systems are syncing properly and transactions are recorded correctly, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and payroll. * Keep the Controller informed of the ongoing activities/transactions as well as unusual or unclear activities within the organization. * Prepare and record journal entries as needed. * Complete full review and reconciliation of all accounts included on the financial statements.
