Construction Estimator - Healthcare Imaging Renovations
- Estimating and Budget Preparation:
- Generate detailed estimates using our customized Excel-based system.
- Create budgetary and bid-style estimates based on project requirements.
- Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and vendor requirements to determine material and labor needs.
- Develop cost breakdowns for interior renovations, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Prepare Scoping Documents and formal Proposals for project submissions.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with Account Managers to review site conditions and vendor drawings to ensure scope alignment.
- Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, architects, and project managers to gather accurate pricing information.
- Review and compare subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and scope alignment.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams, vendors, and facility contacts.
- Participate in coordination meetings to discuss project progress and budget updates.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain organized records of estimates, budgetary data, and proposal documentation.
- Draft cost analysis reports and budget summaries for client presentations.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF for document creation and reporting.
- Assist in scope development and cost validation during project planning phases.
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within healthcare or medical imaging-related projects.
- Knowledge of interior renovations, construction materials, and basic MEP systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, vendor specifications, and building layouts.
- Familiarity with cost estimation techniques for medical facilities.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to accuracy.
- Salary: $55,000–$75,000, based on experience and qualifications.
