Maintenance Crew Member/ Driver

Overview:
The Maintenance Crew Member plays a vital role in performing landscape maintenance tasks efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Yardnique’s commitment to superior quality and exceptional customer service. Under the direction of a Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader, you will help ensure that all properties are maintained to the highest standards and consistently meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assigned property maintenance tasks efficiently, following production goals, customer service standards, and daily supervisory instructions.

• Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

• Safely and effectively operate landscape equipment, including hand tools, ride-on, walk-behind, and push mowers; edgers, trimmers, blowers, thatchers, overseeders, and other maintenance tools.

• Mow, edge, and maintain turf areas weekly, ensuring hardscapes and beds are properly edged, weeded, and watered.

• Prune shrubs and perform other plant care tasks with assistance from the detail crew, as needed.

• Report damaged trees, missing plants, irrigation issues, or other concerns to the supervisor promptly.

• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and blade conditions.

• Accurately record work hours in accordance with company time-reporting procedures.

• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with team members, supervisors, and other staff.

• Comply with all personal protective equipment (PPE) and conduct guidelines.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Preferred 1 year of experience in landscaping or a related field.

• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions accurately and efficiently.

• Proficiency in operating landscape maintenance tools and equipment.

• Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting and operating equipment.

• Strong communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanor.

• Drivers only: Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor work in various weather conditions, with exposure to dirt, water, chemicals, and noise.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, squatting, walking for extended periods, and reaching overhead.

• Regular lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials and equipment.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.

Travel:

• Daily travel to and from job sites in a company vehicle.
