The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Team Lead position is to assist management with the direction of staff and completion of duties required to maintain fulfillment activities at our Raleigh, NC location. The team lead will assist the shipping manager with training, coaching and overall development of both the staff and our processes. The team lead will be a key holder and share opening and closing responsibilities as needed.

• Help the team maintain and or succeed the Company’s operating targets day to day by directing and motivating resources as needed in the pick/pack cycle. Must have the ability and flexibility to see the days production requirements through to completion in order to exceed customer expectations

• Utilize all information available to make swift and effective decisions in an effort to constantly exceed customer expectations by maintaining the highest level of on-time shipping performance possible each day

• Provide hands on training of new team members and assist managers by setting clear expectations for the team. Identify opportunities for ongoing training efforts for existing team members in an effort to consistently seek out continuous improvement

• Provide necessary direction and support to staff to ensure all daily functions including order fulfillment, sorting, packing and loading of trucks are completed in an efficient manner

• Be on the lookout for areas of opportunity where efficiency gains, employee morale and process improvements can be made. Effectively communicate those ideas to management in a positive and professional manner

• Assist management with the monitoring and assessment of weekly key performance indicators (KPI’s) used to measure performance of each employee within each area of production

• As part of the the facility leadership team, set a positive example using effective communications with all team members; establish working relationships with your team and fellow managers to further develop your leadership role within the Company.

• Play a key role in order fulfilment issue resolution efforts. Work closely with thecustomer service team members to provide quick resolution to any open order issues.

• Enforce the Company’s established security and safety protocols in effort to provide a safe and secure working environment for the staff. Assist with delegation of tasks to continuously maintain a safe and clean working environment for the team

Experience/Skills required : The experience and skill sets required to handle the job responsibilities of this position are as follows:

• Has demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills and is capable of building and maintaining effective professional relationships to work productively as a team

• Has previous experience working within a distribution center or manufacturing environment in some capacity. Experience within an e-commerce fulfilment center is a significant plus

• Analytical skills required; the ability to evaluate metric performance data and identify
  productivity trends to help increase facility efficiencies in all areas

• Computer literate, competent use of various CPU peripherals and barcode scanners

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel with an emphasis on Excel applications; advanced pivot and filtering capabilities within Excel preferred

• Strong attention to detail; tenacity to ensure accuracy of all assignments completed

• Is dependable and takes personal ownership of responsibilities

• Demonstrates strong personal initiative, has a strong work ethic and has the ability to
  handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Capable and willing to lead by example, coach and train other individuals on the team

• Must be flexible and available based on the production needs of the facility; seasonality will impact typical work hours from time to time throughout the calendar year

• Physically able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

• Accountability is a must. Facility key holder responsibilities will be shared with the GVC management team. Open and Closing shifts will be limited for team lead roles and rotated as needed to help maintain a fair and enjoyable work/life balance for all management team members
