Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Scope of Position:

This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, integrating new products, and driving improvements through collaboration, data analysis, and proactive problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing success and drive standardization.
Analyze product data, monitor trends, and implement corrective actions.
Identify and resolve chronic manufacturing issues; recommend process and equipment improvements.
Maintain accurate documentation and train teams on new or updated processes/products.
Assess equipment maintenance needs and escalate engineering support when required.

Experiences/Education - Required:

BS or MS in Mechanical, Chemical, Material Science or similar.
1-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong data analysis skills.
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables) and Access.
Effective multitasking, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and autonomous work capabilities.

Experiences/Education - Desired:

2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience with statistical tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
Project leadership and CAD experience.

The range for this position is $84,932.00 - $116,782.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
