Senior Manager, Operations Finance POST NUMBER: 481614

We are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager, Operations Finance, for a rapidly growing global organization in the RTP area. This role will support operational and supply chain finance initiatives across a complex manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or plant finance and have progressed into broader operational finance leadership responsibilities. This position offers significant visibility across the organization and the opportunity to influence both strategic initiatives and day-to-day business performance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operations, supply chain, procurement, and commercial leaders to provide financial analysis and support key business decisions.
• Lead the analysis and reporting of cost of goods sold (COGS), manufacturing variances, gross margin performance, and operational cost drivers.
• Develop insights and recommendations to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and overall operational performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities related to manufacturing operations and supply chain functions.
• Evaluate product costing, inventory, sourcing, and production-related initiatives to assess financial impact and business value.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks, opportunities, and key performance trends.
• Support business case development for new products, operational investments, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance and operational leadership to strengthen reporting, controls, and decision-support capabilities.
• Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and potential acquisition or integration activities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance, operational finance, cost accounting, plant controllership, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of product costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing operations, standard costing, and financial planning processes. Foundational Cost Accounting experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operational leadership and translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.
