Network Security Engineer

Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join on a direct hire basis for a client in Cary, NC. This hybrid position requires onsite work three days per week (Tuesday – Thursday) and offers an excellent opportunity to gain cloud security posture management experience.

Salary: $115,000 – $135,000 plus 10% bonus

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade firewall solutions, including next-gen firewalls to enforce network security policies.

• Deploy security tools in cloud environments, such as CASB, WAFs, and native cloud security services.

• Deploy SASE solutions integrating security capabilities for distributed networks.

• Implement centralized identity and access management systems following least privilege principles. • Utilize Microsoft Security Suite tools for threat detection and response across environments.

• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering with in-depth experience with Palo Alto

• Hands-on experience with Zscaler

• Cloud-first mindset—on-prem-only experience is a disqualifier.

• Passion for Security and willingness to make suggestions and recommendations

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Azure Network and cloud security posture management experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
