Project Manager (Contract Furniture)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of contract furniture projects from start to finish. In this role, you will support the sales team and coordinate various aspects of furniture orders to ensure seamless delivery, installation, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines for specifications, construction, order entry, delivery, installation, and move-in are met.

Monitor shipping timelines and coordinate receipt and installation with the Installation Supervisor, customers, and sales team.

Ensure installation drawings are accurate and complete, providing any additional details necessary for smooth execution.

Schedule and lead pre-installation and post-installation meetings with designers, sales representatives, and installation supervisors.

Work closely with external contractors (e.g., telephone, cable, and electrical providers) to ensure seamless integration with furniture systems.

Conduct on-site walkthroughs with customers, document outstanding issues, and oversee the resolution of punch-list items.

Schedule follow-up work, order replacement parts as needed, and maintain clear communication with customers throughout the process.

Provide weekly project status updates to leadership and participate in internal project meetings to keep all stakeholders informed.

Be available on-site to coordinate and address any issues that may arise during installation.

Manage off-site storage needs and track extra furniture inventory.

Offer technical support and collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

At least 5 years of experience in office furniture project management or related fields preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience in furniture installation or project coordination is a plus.

Must have a valid NC driver's license.
