Accounting Manager POST NUMBER: 483967

We are recruiting an Accounting Manager for a growing company in Raleigh. This position offers a blend of technical accounting, financial reporting, and operational partnership, making it a good opportunity for someone looking to leverage both their public accounting foundation and industry experience. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in the monthly close process, consolidated financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with finance leadership and operational stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead key aspects of the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial results while investigating and resolving variances.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, management reporting packages, and supporting schedules.
• Partner with FP&A, business unit finance leaders, and corporate accounting to analyze results and support business decision-making.
• Assist with external financial reporting requirements, including support for quarterly and annual reporting.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls while supporting SOX compliance and audit activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and collaborate with finance and operational leadership on company initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor a small accounting team, providing coaching, development, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA required or in process
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Experience preparing or reviewing consolidated financial statements and researching technical Accounting matters
