Dialysis RN Job Details

• Location: Burlington, NC 27215 (North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: September 9, 2025
• End Date: December 9, 2025
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:30 – 19:00), rotating weekends and holidays
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1730 - $1770 per week
• Call: Required Sunday nights only
• Float: May be required to float between 3 hospital campuses
• Setting: Hospital-based Dialysis Unit (9 bays, 1 isolation room)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent dialysis nursing experience (dialysis RN jobs)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
• Ability to cannulate AV fistula/graft and manage various dialysis access types
• Experience with hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments
• Pass/Fail EKG exam required during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to float between campuses and work rotating weekends/holidays
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Education verification required through a third party
• No open cases on background check
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible

Dialysis Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments to adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor and manage patients with acute and chronic renal conditions, metabolic imbalances, and complex medical needs
• Perform cardiac monitoring and respond to emergencies as needed
• Float to other hospital campuses as required to meet patient care needs
• Document all care accurately in the Epic EMR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and more
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules
• Maintain infection control and safety standards at all times
