Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students across grades K-12 in a school setting. This contract position spans the school year and offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on childrens educational and developmental experiences.
Location:
- Fayetteville, NC
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, targeting developmental, physical, and sensory needs of students
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop and implement effective individualized intervention plans
- Assist in documenting student progress and participate in meetings regarding therapy goals and program adjustments
- Support students in improving their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities to enhance learning and participation within the school environment
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required
- Experience working in a school setting with K-12 students preferred
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and educational staff
- Ability to follow treatment plans and adapt techniques based on student needs
