Automotive Technician
Position Overview:
As an Automotive Service Technician, your primary responsibility will be diagnosing vehicle issues and performing part replacements and repairs to restore vehicles to optimal condition. You will handle component removal and installation, ensuring repairs meet quality and safety standards. This role demands strong technical skills, precision, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove and replace vehicle components including brakes, suspension parts, starters, alternators, belts, hoses, and other mechanical and basic electrical parts.
- Perform accurate repairs following manufacturer specifications and shop protocols.
- Inspect vehicles to determine necessary part replacements and repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of parts installed and repairs performed.
- Communicate repair progress and recommendations clearly to service advisors.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Assist in training junior technicians in proper part replacement techniques.
- Stay updated on repair methods, replacement parts, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an automotive technician with expertise in identifying part failures and executing precise part replacements and mechanical repairs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of vehicle systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic and repair tools.
- ASE certifications preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently independently and collaboratively.
- Clear communication skills and commitment to safety and quality.
