2nd shift Maintenance Tech Direct Hire
Hours: 4pm-2:30am, OT and some weekends
Location: Newton, NC
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily operations by ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery in a fast-paced production environment. Ideal candidates are hands-on problem solvers with strong mechanical and electrical experience.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
- Repair or replace defective components to restore functionality
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Support installation of new equipment and system upgrades
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or credited GED required; technical training preferred
- 4+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial setting. Food industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, and troubleshooting
- 24V to 480V experience
- Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics
- Single and 3phase motors
- PLC Troubleshooting
- Multi-skilled ability to perform basic mechanical tasks
- Knowledge of personal computers and facility software for use in troubleshooting and work order entries.
- Must be able to operate facility equipment such as scissor lifts and one-man lifts, chain hoists, overhead cranes, etc.
