Medical Assistant Job Details

• Location: Rotating between Burlington, MA (01803) and Peabody, MA
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Neurology Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Medical Assistant
• Estimated weekly salary: $1,120–$1,150
• Shift: Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8 hours per day
• Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/15/2025, End: 12/13/2025)

Medical Assistant Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• BLS certification required
• COVID vaccination (including booster) and flu vaccination required
• Experience with EHR and EPIC systems preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Only local candidates within 50 miles of Burlington or Peabody, MA will be considered
• Cannot have worked perm/travel/PRN for any Beth Israel facility within the past 6 months

Medical Assistant Responsibilities

• Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic health records (EHR)
• Answer phones and schedule employee health screenings
• Provide clinical and administrative support to Employee Health staff
• Deliver excellent customer service and patient care in a hospital neurology setting
• Utilize EPIC and EHR systems for documentation and scheduling
