Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Med/Tele or ED License: Required RN License Certifications: Required - BLS, ACLS; Preferred - PALS, NIHSS, CPI Must-Have: Trauma experience Stroke experience Cardiac rhythm interpretation Conscious sedation experience PIV starts Chest tube management NGT placement Drain/tube management Critical care drip management Medication management for cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF Description: This position seeks an RN specializing in MedSurg/Tele. The role involves providing care in a fast-paced environment. Patients will include those with trauma, stroke, heart failure, and respiratory issues. The RN will be responsible for ED holds and managing various patient needs. Patient ratios may vary depending on acuity levels, with a maximum of 1:5 for RNs. Support staff available includes charge nurses, phlebotomy, and respiratory therapists. Nurses will read telemetry monitors and respond as needed. Traveling may be required to different facilities within the region. Each traveler will work every other weekend and 75% of holidays. Requests for time off may be approved up to six days, excluding holidays. Scrub color required is navy. This role is essential in delivering quality patient care within the unit.
