Early Head Start Teacher
Summary The Early Head Start Teacher will work as part of a cohesive teaching team. Must be able to create a positive learning environment, implement curriculum that meets the needs of individual children. This person must excel in developing a positive relationship with children and familes, and knowledgeable of Child Development and Teaching Strategies. Classroom size ratio is very low. Most important thing this person must have the passion and patience for working with young children. Duties Plan and implement age-appropriate activites using the Creative Curriculum.
Maintain accurate records, forms, and files.
Maintain personal and professional development plans to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Routine Care
Knowledge of Child Development.
Understanding of NC child care regulations.
Follow prepared lesson plans.
Maintain frequent communications with familes.
Follow all center policies, EHS, and state regulations. Requirements At a minimun, a CDA credential or willing to work toward obtaining a credential.
Experience working with youndg children
Ability to work as a team
Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
Must clear full background check
Must have a current health assessment and TB
Infant/Child and Adult CPR
Warm personality-friendly, enthusiastic, welcoming
Creative, organized, punctual,professional
