Minister of Music and Worship

Are you passionate about music and media in a ministry setting? Do you have a heart for people using their gifts in praise and worship of our Lord through Choir, Praise Band, and a Praise Team format? Pine Valley Baptist Church of Wilmington, North Carolina is prayerfully seeking a passionate, pastoral, and personal Minister of Music and Worship to join our Pastoral Team and lead us in music and worship. Pine Valley is a growing, medium sized congregation utilizing a blended format to engage our congregation and encounter God through music and worship. The Minister of Music and Worship will be responsible to work alongside our Senior Pastor to plan, execute, and engage our church through weekly worship and through seasonal and special calendar events. He will provide overall leadership in developing, training, and equipping lay leaders in the music and media ministries of Pine Valley.

Key Responsibilities:

*Create, plan, and lead engaging worship service.

*Work as a team member and staff minister with our Pastoral Team.

*Cultivate a dynamic worship environment that connects our multi-generational church from a diversity of demographical backgrounds. Wilmington attracts a considerable amount of retirees and has a growing community of college graduates who choose to live and work in our beautiful setting after graduating from UNCW.

*The Minister of Music and Worship is expected to serve predominantly in areas of music and worship but would be expected to minister to our church family and care for a growing church of young professionals and retirement aged senior adults.

Qualifications

*Strong musical abilities. (Vocal and instrumental). Experienced in leading choirs and praise band/teams.

*A heart for ministry and people of different ages and musical abilities. Our choir averages over thirty participants weekly and we have a great desire for that number to grow. The Minister of Music and Worship is expected to continue that growth trend and execute a compelling opportunity to grow our Praise Team and Praise Band.

*A commitment to and agreement with the BF&M 2000. Biblical qualifications for Pastoral Ministry and an education and experience in a growing church.
