Summer Camp / Direct Service Provider (DSP)

Easterseals PORT Health, a leading non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia , is seeking energetic and compassionate Direct Service Providers (DSPs) to join our Empower Summer Camp program in Wilmington, NC.

Full-Time Summer Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Hourly Rate:

• $18.00 per hour

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for supporting individuals at learning and increasing skills in all areas of independence including, but not limited to: Self-help skills, independent living skills, accessing community resources, and pursuit of leisure activities. (If an individualized plan exists, this document serves as a guide for these supports).
• Participate in all program activities.
• Ensure that the safety, health, hygiene, and nutritional needs of the individuals we support are met.
• Lift and transfer individuals, we support as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED and (21+) to drive/operate passenger van.
• One year of college or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted, state-appropriate driver’s license and maintain current vehicle insurance.
