Our client, a well-established and respected commercial HVAC contractor serving the Hickory, NC region, is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units, split systems, chillers, boilers, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Inspect systems and identify potential issues before they become major repairs.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding system performance and recommended repairs.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience servicing RTUs, package units, split systems, heat pumps, and commercial HVAC controls.
• EPA Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• NATE Certification (preferred but not required).
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS).
• Additional HVAC certifications or manufacturer training.
