• Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Start Date: September 16, 2025
• End Date: December 16, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), including every other weekend and holidays
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1820 - $1870
• Setting: Community hospital, 30-bed unit, average daily census of 16
• Charting System: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications (preferred)
• EPIC charting experience (required)
• Ability to pass a required EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Previous charge RN or LTAC experience preferred
• Willingness to float to other hospital units or campuses as needed
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Must complete compliance requirements by the Wednesday prior to start date
• Not accepting local candidates within 50 miles

Nursing Job Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform wound care
• Care for patients with respiratory conditions, diabetes, surgical recovery, palliative and end-of-life care, and psychiatric observation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other units or campuses as required by census
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules
