Position: Plant Facility Maintenance

Location: Joyalways/129 S. Technology Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday (with flexibility for production needs)

Compensation: $29 - $32 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facility Maintenance Technician to support daily operations in our high‑speed wet wipe manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production equipment, building systems, and supporting utilities operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands the unique requirements of hygienic, FDA‑regulated manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment including:
  • Wet wipe converting lines
  • Packaging machinery (flow wrappers, cartoners, case packers)
  • Conveyors, motors, pumps, and pneumatic systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic PLC-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain facility systems such as HVAC, compressed air, water filtration, and general building infrastructure.
• Conduct equipment changeovers, calibrations, and adjustments to support production schedules.
• Document all maintenance activities with accuracy and detail.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment.
• Follow all safety, GMP, and sanitation requirements specific to wet wipe manufacturing.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and support root-cause analysis for recurring issues.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills (motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics).
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Understanding of GMPs, safety protocols, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Experience in wet wipe, paper converting, or other high-speed packaging environments.
• Basic electrical knowledge (480V, control circuits, sensors).
• Familiarity with PLCs for basic troubleshooting.
• Welding or fabrication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working around moving machinery, elevated platforms, and confined spaces.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on facility zones.
• Ability to respond to equipment issues quickly and safely.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing environment.
