This contract position offers two full-time openings for dedicated Paraprofessionals/Aides working with elementary students for the 2026-2027 school year. Located just a short drive from Asheville, these roles provide an opportunity to work one-on-one with children who benefit from additional assistance in daily school life.

Position 1 involves working individually with a student who requires mobility support, including daily activities and diapering. Position 2 centers on guiding and assisting a blind student throughout the school day, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning experience.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or classroom aide preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable demeanor
• Ability to assist with physical tasks, including mobility and personal care
• Comfortable providing 1:1 support for students with varying abilities
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
• Commitment to supporting the educational and developmental needs of elementary students

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized assistance to assigned student throughout the school day
• Support mobility, personal care, and day-to-day classroom activities as needed
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to implement individualized support plans
• Monitor progress and communicate observations to the educational team
