Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader
Crew Leader to train crew members and perform lawn care maintenance services on client properties.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Shop on time with a positive attitude to review the day's work with the Operations Manager.
- Communicate schedules with crew members.
- Prep Trucks & equipment.
- Follow Inventory Procedures.
- Openly receive training for field needs, safety, equipment, technique, etc.
- Operations, quality control, training, punctuality, and safety.
- Appropriating all tools, fuel, and other necessary equipment/materials.
- Checking truck oil, fluids, tire pressure, proper trailer connection, and all lights/brakes are in working condition.
- Training, managing landscape and maintenance tasks on client properties.
- Ensure work contracted is implemented efficiently and according to the contracted specifications.
- Lead team associated with the maintenance of client properties and cleanups.
- Performing and assisting with training including but not limited to scheduling, planning, coaching, mowing, line trimming, blowing, leaf and debris removal, weeding, edging, pruning, raking and mulch installation.
- Implement the proper use of safety equipment, Personal Protective Equipment and ergonomic practices of the crews.
- Address questions or concerns with the clients as needed. Contact Operations Manager with unknowns. Communicate customer opportunities immediately with the Operations Manager.
- Track field labor. Verify all weekly schedules are completed accurately & confirm all sales opportunities are being reported.
- Review crews weekly schedules to make sure the work is performed accurately and documentation is detailed.
- Confirm preparation for the next day’s work.
- Lead crew in unloading/loading equipment and materials.
- Update the schedule for rest of week.
- Strict adherence to the company's employee manual & procedures as required from all employees.
- Accurate Job Reporting.
- Fieldwork and training.
- Encourage crew to be positive and lead by example.
- Shows respect towards others yet also hold crew members accountable for fulfilling their responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Valid N.C. driver's license.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to operate commercial mowers.
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods at a time.
Our customers range from large commercial facilities to small residential lawns. We are a full service lawn and landscape company.
