Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for the 2026-2027 school year in Morganton, NC, serving two elementary schools, one of which includes pre-kindergarten students. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 to 40 hours per week and involves managing a caseload of 50 or fewer students.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP credentials with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology
- Background in pediatric and healthcare settings preferred
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required or completed
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to students with speech and language disorders
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and caseload records
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Support the communication development of pre-kindergarten through elementary-aged children
