Position Overview: The Warehouse Assistant II plays a key role in supporting the organization and efficiency of the warehouse, ensuring tools, equipment, and inventory are well-maintained. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including loading deliveries, maintaining inventory, and assisting with general warehouse upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize the warehouse for maximum efficiency and productivity.

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

• Keep track of shop and truck tool inventories.

• Load and verify deliveries on company vehicles.

• Handle returns and coordinate with vendors.

• Maintain safety equipment like first aid kits and fire extinguishers.

• Ensure the upkeep of building and grounds.

• Assist with special assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience may substitute.

• Experience: Minimum of one year of warehouse experience; plumbing knowledge is preferred but not required.

• Skills:

  • Problem-solving skills to anticipate and address issues.

  • Organizational skills to manage inventory and deliveries.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to noise, toxic gases, and solvents may be encountered.

• The position requires working both indoors in climate-controlled environments and outdoors at job sites.

• Hours may include 8-hour shifts, with potential for night and weekend work.

Additional Requirements:

• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Reporting:
The Warehouse Assistant II reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
